Applicants are evaluated by the institute board of directors on the basis of the following principles and successful candidates are determined taking into account the quotas: a) All applicants' grades are converted into a 100-point appraisal. Graduation grade average is calculated on the basis of 100 degree system with different system (4, 3 and so on) and only system with different system (4, 3 and so on) The table is based on the 100-note system conversion table. b) If there is no scientific evaluation examination to be held in the entrance exam and / or written in the graduate program, 50% of ALES score, 30% of grade point average and 20% of foreign language score if taken. Interviews and / or scientific assessments are taken at 50% of the ALES score, 15% of the average of the undergraduate grade, 15% of the foreign language score and 20% of the interview and / . The total score must be at least 50. Candidates who do not have a foreign language certificate from an exam accepted by the YDS or the Interuniversity Board are calculated by assuming that the foreign language score is zero. Candidates above 50 points are placed in the relevant programs according to the quotas announced in order from the highest point. In case of equal score, a candidate with a high ALES score is preferred. A candidate who fails to take the interview examination is deemed unsuccessful.

Adaptation Process

Students who transfer to the Graduate School of Materials Science and Engineering through our university are subject to "ERCIYES UNIVERSITY GRADUATED TRAINING-EXAMINATION AND EXAMINATION REGULATIONS CHAPTER THIRTY ARTICLE 17". Foreign students who came to the Graduate School of Materials Science and Engineering of our university are subject to "ERCIYES UNIVERSITY GRADUATE SCHOOL TEACHING AND EXAMINATION REGULATIONS CHAPTER THIRTY ARTICLE 18". "ERCIYES UNIVERSITY GRADUATED EDUCATION AND TRAINING AND EXAMINATION REGULATIONS CHAPTER THREE IS ARTICLE 16" for students who have been admitted to the Graduate Program of Materials Science and Engineering of the University. The process of grading courses in the Materials Science and Engineering Master Program of our University is carried out according to Article 23 "ERCIYES UNIVERSITY GRADUATED EDUCATION-INSTRUCTION AND EXAMINATION SECTION FOURTH SECTION".

Quantification and Consideration

The subjects related to measurement and evaluation are stated in Erciyes University Graduate Education Regulation dated February 16, 2017:

(1) Exams are evaluated over 100 points. Midterm and final exam scores of a course are indicated by numerical scores. The score (0) of the exams not entered by the student is zero.

(2) The calculation of the success grade is as follows:

a) The average score of the midterm exams is determined by dividing the total score of the students who have taken the midterm examinations into the number of midterm exams. The fractional numbers to be found are raised to the nearest whole number.

b) The success score is calculated by adding 60% of the semester, year-end and the make-up exam score and 40% of the midterm score average. The midterm grade is not taken into account in the single course examination. The success grade of the students entering the single course examination is determined according to the single course exam grade. Fractions are retained on the basis of these ratios, but in the calculation of the achievement score, the fractional numbers are rounded up to the nearest whole number.

c) For each course taken by the students in the framework of the graduate program; the lecture note is given by the instructors using the table below:

ç) For a dersten to be successful; graduate students must have at least CC and Ph.D. students must have at least CB marks. The minimum grades for the postgraduate program for which the students of the Scientific Preparation Program are enrolled in the course of a derstent are valid. In the calculation of achievement grades of undergraduate program students who take courses from the undergraduate program, the graded grade is determined based on the evaluation method applied in the undergraduate program.

d) Students who are successful in seminars, thesis studies, specialization courses and other similar courses are awarded a successful (BL) and failed students (BS) grade.

e) Students failing due to failure to fulfill the attendance requirement are given an unsuccessful (DZ) grade from absenteeism.

f) The student is given a grade (M) for courses that have been taken from any higher education institution before being accepted as a graduate program pursued to the University and which are not taken into account in the calculation of credit and grade average required for graduation and granted exemption.

g) The credits and grades of the courses taken from the higher education institutions outside the university and accepted as programa transfer credits shall be transferred in the same way as the table specified in (c) above.
